On 15 June 2025, on the sidelines of the cerebration of the 127th commemoration of the Philippine Independence Day, the Knights of Rizal – Firenze Chapter supported the chartering, induction and oath-taking ceremonies of the Kababaihang Rizalista Firenze Chapter officiated by Lady Antonina Fernandez, Kababaihang Rizalista -Belgium Chapter President and Women of Malolos Awardee.
Sir Rob Carrillo, KCR, Chapter Commander of the Knights of Rizal – Firenze Chapter, Lady Winnie Crisostomo, Former Kababaihang Rizalista – Modena Chapter President and KRI Adviser Modena Chapter and Lady Phening Bantugon Arasula, Kababaihang Rizalista – Modena Chapter President assisted in the ceremonies.
We congratulate the new chapter led by Lady Socorro “Sue” Gecolea and the membership of the chapter which is formed by spouses and Filipino community leaders and organisers in Tuscany.
The chartering was organised before the start of the celebrations of the Philippine Independence Day and was witnessed by representatives of the city government of Firenze represented by 4th District President Mirko Dormentoni and Honorary Consulate-General of the Philippines Sir Cav. Dott. Fabio Fanfani, KGOR, OMRI.
The newly inducted ladies later also met with Tuscany Region President Eugenio Giani who was present for the Independence Day celebrations.
The chapter found its beginnings from the supporting spouses of the Knights of Rizal – Firenze Chapter members which grew to be organised into the Ladies Auxiliary Group of the chapter in preparation for their chartering.
