The Firenze Chapter of the Knights of Rizal, as part of its Research Programme, aims to build interest for the historical original winning Rizal monument designs by Carlo Nicoli for Luneta as a way to uncover the historic ties between the Tuscan-Italian and Filipino peoples.
The project is in collaboration with his descendants at the currently existing Laboratori Carlo Nicoli.
The Firenze Chapter of the Knights of Rizal’s research division has conducted interviews and site visits with the Laboratori Carlo Nicoli in Carrara and is in discussion about the initiative with the Philippine Hon. Consulate General and the Philippine Embassy to Italy.
