Earlier this month, Firenze Chapter Adviser Dr. Sir Fabio Fanfani, KGOR was made a Knight of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic, the highest order of knighthood of Italy, by Italian President Sergio Matarella.
The ceremony was held in the Great Hall of the University of Florence. The Order of Merit of the Italian Republic is awarded to all Italian and foreign citizens, who contribute to Italy in the fields of science, letters, economics and public service and for social, philanthropic and humanitarian activities.
